Caribbean Fish Cakes #1

3 Cups Vegetable Oil

1 Pack Chief Brand Pholorie Mix

1/2 Tsp Chief Brand Garam Massala

1/2 Tsp Chief Brand Turmeric Powder

1/2 Tsp Chief Brand Baking Powder

1 Tbsp of Minced Cilantro

1 Tsp Minced Garlic

4 Oz Minced Salted Cod (Preboiled)

1/4 Tsp Chief Brand Black Pepper


In a medium sauce pan, heat oil to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.

In a medium mixing bowl, empty the Chief Brand pholourie mix and add all otheringredients to it.

Using a whisk, add enough water to bring it to a semi thick consistency resembling that of  pancake batter.

Using two tablespoons, scoop up some of the batter and place into the hot oilusing the other spoon to dislodge it as to get a nice rounded shape.

Fry for 2 minutes basting with oil constantly to evenly cook. Place on paper napkins to absorb excess oil.

Serve with Chief Tambaring Chutney or even Chief Mango Kutchela as a dip.
